Villa Alina is a family home which has been lovingly renovated as a traditional Portuguese villa complete with antique furniture, luxury soft furnishings and fully equipped kitchens.We expect all our guests, including children, to have respect for the house, its contents and our staff.
There are 3 double bedrooms in the main house and one family suite for 4, sleeping a total of 10 guests. There are two further bedrooms on site for another 4 people. We accept bookings for a maximum of 14 people which includes children aged 10 and over.
We agree to rent the property only to named guests. Third Party rental is strictly prohibited.
Rental is based on guests reading and agreeing to our full Terms & Conditions (T&Cs). The lead guest will be required to sign a T&Cs Agreement on arrival at the house when checking in.
There are now two airports – Mopa (GOX) in the North and Dabolim (GOI) in the South.
There are both approximately 40km away. It takes around an hour to get to Villa Alina depending on traffic. Official taxis can be rented from the airport – there is a government run kiosk just inside the main terminal before you exit. However, if you would like to be collected in a large air-conditioned vehicle with seat belts, please let us know and we will endeavour to organise this service for you and advise of the cost.
Please ask our House Manager for taxi drivers that we use all the time. They can be booked in advance, whilst in Goa, or you can walk a couple of minutes up Holiday Street to find a taxi.
Most taxis are Ertigas or Innovas which seat 4 to 6 people legally. Please ask our house manager if you want to hire an air-conditioned vehicle, bigger car or jeep. Also contact us, if you would like to have a full time taxi driver during your stay.
The maids will clean the house daily. Bedrooms will be serviced after breakfast has been made, served and cleaned away. Linen and towels are changed every three days. If a room is occupied, it might not be cleaned. Please arrange a suitable time with the house manager. An additional washing and ironing service is available for personal laundry items. This has to be agreed and arranged with the house manager and separate charges apply.
Please note we will change towels more often if necessary, however please help to do your bit for the environment by keeping them clean and off the floors. A group of 14 people requesting daily towel changes equals 42 towels during a 3-night stay. Pool towels are given separately
No, if you book the whole Villa.
Yes, if you book a room. When the Villa is rented with separate rooms, then you will share the pool with other registered guests. We do not rent the swimming pool to anyone else on a daily basis.
Yes. Bed linen and towels/pool towels are provided and will be changed every three days.
Separate pool towels will be provided and are the responsibility of the guests.
Please do not use bedroom towels at the pool. Please do not take any towels from the property to the beach.
Guests should provide their own beach towels.
Yes there are 2 cots and one high chair. Please request for these in advance.
Unfortunately, a cook is not available, but we can offer home-cooked dinners that are served on our veranda. Additionally, please bear in mind that there are many great restaurants right on our doorstep. Please note a continental and Indian breakfast is included in your stay.
Some of the best restaurants are within walking distance of the house. It is a 10 minute taxi ride to the main Calangute area. Please refer to the house information book for lots of tips and recommendations of places to visit. We would also like you to add any of your “finds”. As we visit Goa many times during the year, we have compiled an up to date list of information. Once you have booked, request our “Villa Alina’s Unofficial Guide to Goa” and we will gladly send it over.
Yes; unless, in our house manager’s opinion, the property is left in an unacceptable state, whereby, cleaning and breakages charges will be deducted from the deposit.
We have 24 hour security guards stationed by the front gate. They patrol the grounds throughout the day and evening. Additionally, CCTV is in operation around the Villa to maintain safety and security.
We have safety deposit boxes installed in each room. We advise you to use these to store all valuables and personal belongings including passports, money etc. We cannot accept responsibility or liability for any valuables that are not deposited and are lost, stolen or damaged. All items are left out at the owner’s risk. Please ensure all outside doors are locked when guests leave the house or are by the poolside.
On occasions staff stay on-site overnight. We provide 24/7 security at the gate.
The owner has a completely separate private residence on site that he uses while visiting Goa.
Residents can have a pool party or a poolside Barbeque. Larger parties can be organised by our team. Please contact our manager for ideas and costs.
- Refund of 100% if cancelled 60 days before arrival.
- Refund of 50% if cancelled 59-30 days before arrival.
- Refund of 20% if cancelled 29-14 days before arrival.
- 0% refund if cancelled within 14 days of arrival.
There may be an option to reschedule dates but this is at the discretion of the owner and the amount of notice given. If cancellation is for reasons beyond our control such as a government regulation changes in Goa, we will offer a voucher to the value of your booking which is valid for 2 years. This option will be judged on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of the owners.
